"Necessary Roughness" picked up the action about a month later for the mid-season premiere. A month later meaning a month after that surprise kiss between Dani and Nico, that is. Even though it's been a month, the kiss didn't offer her any more clarity as to what she should do now. In fact, it pushed her into therapy herself.
"What scares me is that I'm caught between the man that I love," Dani explained to her therapist, played by Peter MacNicol. "And the man that I am dangerously attracted to." She basically said she feels stuck in between them.
Nico is exciting and dangerous, while her heart still belongs to Matt. But she and Matt are nowhere close to the same page, which makes Nico look even more attractive in the now.
