The whole point of the game on "Storage Wars: Texas" is to find hidden treasures within these various storage lockers. But what if there's a hidden treasure inside the hidden treasure? That's what Ricky and Bubba discovered on this week's episode.
The pair made a last-minute bid on an underwhelming locker only to find an old English writing desk inside. It was locked, which made them hopeful for something worth keeping locked up inside of it. When they took it to a specialist to get it unlocked, he suggested that these old desks often had hidden compartments.
As he was showing them on the desk where such hidden compartments usually are, he found one. Inside the compartment were gold coins valued at $4,000. Considering the guys paid only $350 for the whole unit, it was an amazing find. Who knew there could be real treasure inside of some of those storage lockers.
