Online reviews can make or break a business, so it's no wonder that some business owners have tried to control their ratings on sites like Yelp. Some have been caught trying to pay people to write positive reviews -- a tactic Yelp says it is trying to combat. Meanwhile, others have gone the other direction by targeting the users who have posted negative reviews. One company has even sued a woman over her poor review.
Dr. Isaac Kashani, a Los Angeles-area dentist says he decided to pay a patient $100 to remove his negative Yelp review.
On HuffPost Live Thursday, Kashani said he was upset that the patient's negative review was tarnishing his otherwise positive image on the site: Kashani's dentist office currently has a 5-star rating on Yelp.
