The Associated Press named Julie Pace White House correspondent on Friday.
Washington Bureau Chief Sally Buzbee sent a memo to staffers announcing the news. Pace has been covering President Obama since his 2008 presidential campaign. Buzbee described her as "a tenacious reporter" who has "distinguished herself with a steady stream of scoops and other smart stories."
She added, "Ben Feller's last day is today and I know all of you join me in wishing Ben well in his new adventures in New York," Buzbee wrote.
