George H.W. Bush In Stable Condition, Still In Hospital Because Of Lingering Cough Dec 1st 2012, 20:21 HOUSTON -- Former U.S. President George H.W. Bush remains in stable condition at a Houston hospital, but a lingering cough related to bronchitis likely will keep him there through the weekend. Methodist Hospital spokesman George Kovacik said Saturday there is no change in the status of the 88-year-old Bush from earlier in the week.
